My name is Karl Franklin. I played with these little cars around 45 years
ago and here in just the last few years I
have been obsessed with getting them
back, plus some, ok plus alot, just
ask my wife (gulp). Not knowing
anything about anything, I began
looking for 'blister boxes' to store
and protect the cars in my growing
collection, I couldn't find one
place listed online, although since
then by asking around I have found a
few places that do sell them. Number
one, I didn't like their web sites,
they didn't make it easy to buy
things and others only sold through
snail-mail order, what's up with
that? Number two, their prices
seemed kind of high. So, I had this
idea, I have a heavy background in
business and in particular web
development, so that brought on
RegularWheels.com. Not only do we
sell these awesome "Blister Boxes",
we also sell every restoration part
available today for our cars. We are
even manufacturing a few that no one
is currently making, so I believe we
have the most complete inventory of
Matchbox restoration parts in the
world!
Here's a recap of the products &
services we offer, plus some yet to
come:
Restoration Parts - No matter
what corner in the world someone is
making a part for a Matchbox, I have
tracked them down. We have every
part made today available to fix up
your old cars.
Blister Boxes - Display,
store & protect in these clear
plastic re-closeable boxes. We have
established a relationship with the
manufacturer, Placon Industries, and
we buy in large quantities, which
our prices reflect.

Is there
something you think we should add?
Tell us about in our
Suggestion Box! We want to be a
good site for you, our visitor, so
in my mind you are the best one to
say what would make it better.
I am
convinced that the market for these
little cars is on the verge of
exploding. The Baby Boomers, of
which I am one, are starting to hit
retirement age, which is when many
pick up a hobby, like collecting
Matchbox cars. I don't think we'll
see the height of the market for
another 12 years or so, but you can
bet your purple 39B that prices will
continually rise for years to come.
That is where we hope we can come in
and help the veteran and novice
collector alike, after all, we are
merely caretakers of these little
pieces of history, it is our
responsibility to preserve them. |
